Dr. Cunningham is currently the Principal and sole Owner of Rx 2020 LLC, a privately held company that provides advisory services to provider, pharmaceutical, payer, financial and healthcare-based organizations surrounding the specialty pharmaceutical marketplace.
He is a strategic healthcare executive with expertise across diverse settings ranging from management in a large academic medical center pharmacy, to business development in a venture-backed specialty distribution business, to co-founding an oncology specialty group purchasing organization (GPO), and to serving as a general manager in a Fortune 10 pharmaceutical wholesaler.
With an entrepreneurial mindset accompanied by experience managing billion-dollar contracts, he has addressed challenges surrounding new product launches, FDA approval, contracting strategies, reimbursement challenges and building partnerships with new and established pharmaceutical companies.
He is adept at building business strategies and plans, and adopting creative solutions to solve business challenges for the key stakeholder clients listed above. He is currently serving as an Advisor or Director on several nonprofit and for-profit Boards in the healthcare space.
Dr. Cunningham received his PharmD from the University of Southern California and an M.B.A. from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
